Dear Colleague:

I look forward to welcoming you and your members to the United States as renowned faculty and researchers from across the globe gather for the world’s most comprehensive interventional radiology conference. This is my personal invitation for you—and to share with your membership and colleagues—to submit scientific abstracts and attend the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Scientific Meeting in Austin, Texas, March 23–28, 2019. Your gateway to global interventional radiology, SIR 2019 features hundreds of exhibitors from around the world. With a robust educational and workshop schedule that also includes special events designed to encourage dialogue and connect with new contacts, SIR 2019 will help you develop potential new partnerships and provide ways to network with U.S. physicians, exhibitors and institutions. Abstract submission is currently open. I strongly encourage you share this information: The high-quality scientific data and studies presented during the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting reach a global audienceof more than 5,000 IR physicians, researchers and allied health professionals. Did you know that all abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be published in SIR’s flagship Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR), and on jvir.org, and will be a citable reference*? Through SIR’s public relations efforts, accepted science reaches other specialties, patients, payers and industry (in fact, research presented at SIR 2018 garnered 637 million media impressions and generated more than 3,500 print and broadcast stories, worldwide). Please submit your original research by 5 p.m. (U.S. ET) on Sept. 27, 2018. Austin, the capital of Texas, features lively entertainment districts, leafy oases and dozens of live music venues—all just steps from one of the most technologically advanced convention centers in the United States.
